PS4 Pro is richer for The Last of Us Remastered update that added 4K native rendering for the game. Also an addition that this update features – HDR (High Dynamic Range) color support, this one for both the standard PS4 and PS4 Pro.

For now, the look of The Last of Us Remastered rendered at native 4K is still a mystery, but there have been some examples of the game in HDR on PS4. If you have an HDR supported TV, you can see the full effect of the improvements in the comparison below.

There’s another comparison that has seen the light of day so far, and it was shared by NeoGAF user ron_bato. It compares how the game looks rendered in HDR compared to the SDR version, which you can see below.

The Last Of Us Remastered is one of the games that have been confirmed to support native 4K on the PS4. Of course, it’s nice having the addition of HDR as it brings a noticeable improvement in the visual department due to details being resolved more clearly.

The Last of Us Remastered was released for the PS4 in August 2014, after originally having been released for the PS3 and then remastered for the PS4. As the PS4 launches this November, the game will become playable in native 4K resolution.
